Datasearch Internet Services draws on a wide range of talents from a diverse group of people. Our Brisbane-based team has served clients as diverse as New York Investment Banks, to Australian MPs and local tradespeople. We are active in the local business community and are always looking for ways to improve our customer service.

Steven Hill – Longsuffering Manager

Steven is responsible for ensuring that everyone is where they are supposed to be and doing what they should be doing. His eagle eye watches over all aspects of the business and ensures that we are meeting our customers’ needs quickly and accurately.

From his training as a teacher Steven wields the whacking stick with resolute calmness and vigour and his background in Finance means he actually knows what Variable Costs and Cash flow means.

 

Sarah Hill – Assistant Manager, Senior Web Designer and Coffee Maker

A skilled Linguist in French, Italian and Japanese, Sarah has transferred her skills to the online world and has become instrumental in the information architecture and language translation aspects of website design.

Her qualifications as a landscape designer are also used to create structured, beautiful designs to reflect the client’s needs and the desires of her clients’ customers.

As a founding partner of Datasearch Internet Services, Sarah has added Customer Relationship Management and Business Planning to her list of skills.

Unique Qualities:
• Knows nothing about AFL but regularly wins the AFL tipping competition, much to Martin’s disgust
• Has a ferocious dog by the name of Skip.

Warren Huisman – Programming & Networks

As Programming manager responsible for the cutting edge innovation and hi tech facilities that Datasearch can now offer its customers, Warren has been at it for more than 20 years.

From the days of the Tandy TRS80 and the Commodore 64 (and long before the advent of the internet) Warren has been enthusiastically overseeing the creation of programs for Datasearch clients to use and enjoy.

He taught his first computer course at the age of ten and is now an integral part of a growing, customer-focussed company. Warren helps us to adapt to the many changes in the industry with style and grace.

Unique qualities: can remember the times when computers took up three rooms of a house

 

Matthew Noon – Senior Web Designer, Systems Manager and Guitar Basher

Matthew channels his creativity and precision into the many development stages of building our websites. Revelling in the feeling of accomplishment he is relied on by staff and customers for his cool designs, attention to detail, and ‘out-of-the-box-thinking’. He has a Degree of Applied Science majoring in Life Science from QUT.

Joining Datasearch over 5 years ago, Matthew is also our Systems Manager and is acutely aware of the importance of implementing systems and documentation into a growing successful business, he set himself the onerous task of transforming Datasearch into the sleek, efficient and productive company it is today.

Is married with two children under the age of 5.

Meredith Auboire - Flash designer, Web Developer & Daredevil SuperMum

Meredith is trained in Multimedia Integration & Graphic Design, Business Administration, PR, and Hospitality & Hot Bar (throwing glasses around when making cocktails). She is highly sought after for her website building skills (and at office parties).

Unique qualities: Used to be in a folk band doing back up vocals and playing guitar and likes to jump out of perfectly good planes.

Martin Hill - Web Designer and AFL Aficionado

A trained artist who once spent long hours studying the technical art of animating the human body, Martin has adapted his talents to the online world and now specialises in website art and flash animation.

He is now an expert in the art of building dynamic, functional websites and is adept at understanding customer needs and devising online plans to help meet them.
As one of the business's founders, Martin has climbed from working long hours scrubbing oil vats in a fish and chip shop to helping Datasearch Internet Services grow into what it is today – a flourishing, dynamic workplace.

Unique Qualities:
•  Knows copious amounts of useless information about AFL but still manages to regularly come last in the staff footy tipping competition
•  Has toured Australia managing country and blues bands including Red Rivers and Rockbottom James & the Detonators
• Created the Rockdogs

 

Daniel Thurlow – Programming Guru

Daniel is the brains of the operation. He can make anything work online and has been responsible for some of Datasearch’s most complex code. He is constantly working to create better, more user-friendly features to include in our clients’ websites.
He has completed IT degree majoring in Emerging Technologies at QUT.

David Myers – Programmer

David comes from a long line of programmers (well as long as you can get for an occupation which has only existed for 20 years) - his brother and father are both software developers, and David has completed a Bachelor of Information Technology. David has had cockatiels, dogs, cats, fish and chickens… not all together, we hope. He is also interested asp.net and Ajax and likes movies, video games and adventure books. Hi ho Silver!
